A few things we always will prep our couples on is weather and the crowds, (A very important thing to know about Sedona) Sedona is a hot spot for tourism. If you’re wanting very true photos to the conditions and experience with minimal crowds, it will play a huge impact when planning a photo session here. Sedona has so much to offer with different backdrops. You want a canyon? Check. Want the red rock mountains in the background? Check. Want a stream next to you? Check. It will take some planning but, having a photographer knowing the area and researching it will play dividends when it comes down to your session.
Always pick two locations. Arizona, depending on the time of year will experience flash floods, especially in Sedona. This can cause closures to roads, trails, etc. It can be a big headache if a few backup locations aren’t planned for your photos. We want you to have an experience to remember and have that timeless feeling. That can be damaged right away if your experience was horrible due to simple miscalculations in planning.
